Cookie Policy
Effective date: 10 August 2026 · Last updated: 10 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how MAGNATEX LLP uses cookies and similar technologies on www.sociogenie.ai and in the SocioGenie application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits. We use the word "cookies" throughout to cover all of them.
Cookies are either first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by a service we use). They are either session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. Our Approach
We keep this deliberately small. We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or ad-network trackers, and we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We use three categories, described below. Only one of them requires your consent.
3. Categories
3.1 Strictly necessary — always active
These make the Services work. They cannot be switched off, and no consent is required for them under the ePrivacy Directive or equivalent rules.
| Purpose | Set by | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication, keeping you signed in, session integrity | Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) | First-party, session and persistent |
| Security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting | SocioGenie / Google Cloud | First-party |
| Recording your cookie-consent choice | SocioGenie | First-party, persistent |
| Load balancing and request routing | Google Cloud Platform | First-party, session |
| Checkout and payment session | Dodo Payments Inc., on their own domain | Third-party |
3.2 Preferences — always active
These remember choices you have made, such as your selected time zone, language, and interface theme. They store your settings only and are not used to profile you.
3.3 Analytics — consent required
These help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
| Service | Provider | What it does | Cookies? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google LLC | Aggregated product and website analytics — pages and features viewed, session duration, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address | Yes |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Vercel Inc. | Basic aggregate traffic measurement — page views and visitor counts | No — cookieless, no cross-site identifier |
Google Analytics 4 loads only after you give consent. If you decline or ignore the banner, GA4 is not loaded and its cookies are not set. IP anonymisation is enabled and Google Consent Mode is used to signal your choice.
Vercel Web Analytics does not set cookies and does not create a persistent identifier for you, so it does not require consent under cookie rules. It still processes limited technical data, which we rely on legitimate interest to do under the GDPR. You can object to that at any time by emailing founder@magnatex.co.
4. Your Choices
4.1 The consent banner
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. You can accept or decline analytics cookies. Declining does not restrict your access to the Services — everything works either way.
Your choice is stored so we do not ask again. To change it, clear the SocioGenie cookies in your browser and reload the site, or email founder@magnatex.co and we will action it.
4.2 Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
- Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
- Safari — Settings › Privacy
- Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security
- Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions
4.3 Opting out of Google Analytics everywhere
Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all sites: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4.4 Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends it. A GPC signal is treated as a decline of analytics cookies.
4.5 Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for Do Not Track headers, so we do not respond to them. Use the banner or GPC instead.
5. Cookies We Do Not Control
Payment. When you check out you are redirected to checkout.dodopayments.com. Cookies set there are governed by Dodo Payments' own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.
Social-media platforms. Content published through SocioGenie appears on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Those platforms set their own cookies for people who view your posts on their services. We have no control over, and no visibility into, that.
Linked websites. We are not responsible for cookies set by any third-party site we link to.
6. International Transfers
Data collected by our analytics providers may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider participates. See Sub-processors and Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire on a schedule set by whoever placed them — typically up to 24 months for Google Analytics identifiers, and up to 12 months for your consent record. You can delete any of them at any time through your browser.
8. Changes
We will update this page when we add, remove, or change a cookie or analytics provider, and revise the "Last updated" date. Where we introduce a new category requiring consent, we will ask again.
9. Contact
